Privacy Policy

JobCalendar - Shift Planner ("the App") is developed by SwiftSolutions. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

The App is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers. We operate no servers and no account system.

All data you enter in the App (shift patterns, calendar overrides, clock-in records, location attached to a clock-in, signatures and preferences) is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

1a. Clock-in records, location and biometrics

The premium "clock-in" feature records the moment you start and finish a shift, so you keep your own evidence of the hours you worked. Two things deserve a clear explanation:

• Location. When you clock in or out, the App reads your device's location at that moment and stores it on your device, attached to that record, so the record says where it was created. It is never uploaded anywhere. Location is only read while you are actively clocking in or out — the App never tracks you in the background. If you decline the permission, the App simply will not attach a location.
• Biometrics. Clock-in records are signed with a cryptographic key stored in the Android Keystore, which your device only unlocks after a fingerprint or other strong biometric check. The App never sees, receives or stores any biometric data — Android does not expose it. Your fingerprint never leaves the operating system; the App only receives permission to use a key.

You can delete any individual clock-in record inside the App, or all of your data at once (see section 7).

1b. Files you export or back up

The App can generate PDF and CSV reports and a backup file containing your data, and hand them to whatever app you choose (email, messaging, cloud storage). These files are created on your device and shared only when you decide to share them, and only with the app you pick. We never receive them. Once you send such a file, it is governed by the privacy policy of the service you sent it to.

2. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

Google AdMob

The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. This may include:

• Device identifiers (advertising ID)
• IP address
• General location (country/region level)
• App usage data related to ad interactions

Google Play Billing

The App offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove advertisements. This transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive, store, or have access to any payment or financial information.

3. Data Storage

All App data is stored locally on your device using:

• Room Database — for jobs, shift patterns, calendar overrides and clock-in records
• DataStore Preferences — for app settings and preferences
• Android Keystore — for the signing key described in section 1a. The private key cannot be extracted from the device, and on most devices it is held in secure hardware.

This data remains on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data through your device settings.

4. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is intended for working adults who need to manage shift schedules.

5. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

• Notifications — to send the shift reminders and the shift-start alarm you configure
• Internet — required for displaying ads and processing in-app purchases
• Location (precise/approximate) — read only at the instant you clock in or out, and stored only on your device (see section 1a). Never used in the background.
• Use of biometric hardware — to unlock the signing key when you sign a clock-in. No biometric data is ever accessed or stored by the App.
• Alarms and reminders (exact alarms) — so the shift-start alarm rings at the exact time your shift begins
• Run at startup — to restore your scheduled alarms after the device restarts, since Android drops them on reboot
• Vibration — so the shift alarm can vibrate

All of these are optional: if you decline a permission, the feature that needs it stops working, and the rest of the App keeps working normally.

6. Data Security

Since all personal data remains on your device, your data security depends on your device's own security measures. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your device software up to date.

7. Your Choices

• You can remove ads permanently through a one-time in-app purchase, which also stops ad-related data collection by AdMob.
• You can opt out of personalized ads through your device's advertising settings.
• You can delete any single clock-in record from the log inside the App.
• You can delete all App data at any time from Settings inside the App ("Reset data"), or by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it. Since we hold no copy of your data, deleting it on your device deletes it everywhere.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
